Welcome!!
Welcome to GilligCoaches.NET, the home of the Gillig Transit Coach / Pacific SchoolCoach Online Museum. This website is the #1 source for all information relating to Gillig-built school and transit buses, and Kenworth-built school and transit buses built under the "Pacific" name. The mission statement of GilligCoaches.NET, serving as the flagship website of the Gillig Coach Historical Society, is to preserve the history of the Gillig Transit Coach line of school buses, which were built from the late 1930s up to 1982. Additionally, our goal is to preserve the history of the "Pacific School Coach", which was built by Kenworth and Pacific Car and Foundry, and was produced from the early 1900s up to 1957. GilligCoaches.NET is authored by me, Steven Rosenow. A former Gillig owner, I now own a 1955 Kenworth Model T-216 Pacific School Coach and I'm currently in the process of restoring it. I can be easily reached through several contact methods. If you wish to e-mail me, send an e-mail at webmaster@gilligcoaches.net. Please note that I am often consumed with work and other projects, so I cannot guarantee an immediate response to e-mails. If you wish to reach me by another method, please see the "Webmaster Bio" page of the website.

AN EVENT SEVEN YEARS IN THE MAKING!! In just a short period of time, I will be a Gillig owner once again! Recently, I discovered a 1966 Gillig C-180 for sale, and a purchase is in the works! The Gillig, a former Enumclaw School District unit currently residing in Montesano, is completely intact, features the high-intake air cooling scoop in the back, and just about everything I've been looking for! Photos of this Gillig as well as a large update coming soon!
Click the link above to see over 30 photos of our appearance at the Northwest Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society's 12th Annual Antique Truck Show in Shelton, Washington! NOTE: This event took place on August 11, 2007. Due to inclement weather and lack of time, we were unable to make an appearance this year
This 1960 Gillig was photographed a few years ago in Pennsylvania by fellow school bus enthusiast Richard Solano of School Bus Central. It is privately owned and kept in outstanding condition in Pennsylvania. More information and photos are on the "426D-Series" pages in the "Photo Galleries."
